Sons of the Forest, a highly anticipated sequel
It’s May 30, 2014 when a game lands that not many people were expecting at the time, The Forest. It must be said that the budget is not large and the developers are not well known. Moreover, as it was done a lot at that time, the game is released in beta on Steam in order to have the necessary funding to finish the development.
Except that quickly, The Forest will meet a rather impressive critical success. The small studio then gained credit and announced a few years later that it was working on a sequel called Sons of the Forest. Of course, when you say small studio, you say that the wait was long enough, but almost 9 years after the release of the first opus, the sequel is coming!
Indeed, we recently had an official release date for this title. Want some good news? Well, you’ll only have a few days to wait. Indeed, despite a postponement, Sons of the Forest will be released on February 23rd! Moreover, to celebrate the upcoming release, a last trailer has been revealed and we let you discover it below.
What price and what platforms for the release?
The developers of Sons of the Forest still had a limited budget, despite the success of the first game. Therefore, as far as the platforms where the game is available are concerned, you won’t have much choice. Indeed, like the first opus at its release, the game will only be available on PC. However, if it is successful, it is possible that it will be released later on console, like The Forest before.
As for the selling price, we are on something very reasonable. Indeed, at a time when game prices tend to soar, Sons of the Forest is only 30€. If the quality of the game and its lifespan is similar to what we could find on the first opus, we are clearly facing a very good deal!
