The end of the season is fast approaching on Fortnite. According to all logic, it is from Thursday that players will be able to enjoy a season that is being revealed little by little, all for free! Among the new features that are starting to arrive, we have a game mode that is highly anticipated by fans. In this article, we reveal all that is currently known about it.
A FPS mode planned for Fortnite!
If you follow a bit of news around Fortnite, you probably know the role of leakers. These are people who specialize in digging through the game’s files with each new update. This way, they can get their hands on new features before they are even announced to players by Epic Games.
It is via these leakers that a few months ago, the rumor of the potential arrival of a FPS mode in Fortnite reached us. But at the time, it wasn’t clear whether this was still a project or a feature that would come to the game. Because yes, the problem with what you can find in the files is that not everything happens in the final game.
But this time, leakers are categorical, this FPS mode will arrive very soon in game. It is the well-known Hypex that has revealed that we should be able to test it at the launch of the next season. In his announcement tweet, he also indicated that he was able to cross-reference his information with other known leakers of the game and that they all came to the same result!

An option, more than a game mode
But then, what form will this FPS mode take in Fortnite? One could imagine that as it was the case on games like PUBG, there would be a separate queue between TPS and FPS modes. It has to be said that putting them together might put FPS players at a disadvantage as they won’t be able to benefit from the same information as TPS players.
However, it seems that this is not the case for Fortnite! Indeed, still according to the leaks, the FPS mode would be an option to activate in game. Except that, as we have just said, this clearly puts the players at a disadvantage. Therefore, it’s hard to imagine this mode lasting in games under these conditions. So it remains to be seen if this is indeed what Epic Games has planned.
