As we know, these days, artificial intelligence is everywhere. One of the main fears of many professions is that they will disappear, replaced by these famous AI. Moreover, a new milestone could soon be reached with the announcement of a music album entirely composed by an Artificial Intelligence that will soon be put on sale.
An artificial intelligence to create music?
Recently, we have heard a lot about these AIs. We have mentioned them to you several times. On each occasion, we have also mentioned the legal problems that these programs could cause. This is for example the case when we mentioned that they now allow you to pirate images in a few clicks!
In this article, we also mentioned the fact that these artificial intelligences could eventually replace certain jobs. Well, we had a first proof a few days ago. Indeed, a music producer, Patten has announced the release of the album Mirage FM for April 14. The specificity of this album is that it is entirely created by an artificial intelligence!
Moreover, in parallel with this announcement, a first track of this album, entitled Fly was published on YouTube. To create these sounds, Patten used a software called Riffusion whose principle is simple. You type in what you want as a type of music and the software invents it for you in a few seconds. It is an extremely easy to use tool. You will be able to choose the style or the instruments you want to add.

A still rather disappointing result
Well, as you can see by looking at this first extract of the album, the result is still not incredible. Indeed, artificial intelligence cannot produce coherent words. We have the right to bits of words and sounds that are far from what we could normally expect from a song. However, on the music itself, it is already much better .
Indeed, if there again everything is not perfect, artificial intelligence manages to create something much more coherent. Moreover, when we know that an AI learns by doing, we can imagine the results in a few months/years. This is another example that shows us that we will surely have to legislate around these programs to protect the artists, as well as the copyrights. In the meantime, we can be surprised to see how much AI has evolved in the last few months on a whole range of subjects.
