The Moroccan national e-football team managed to qualify for the FIFAe Nations Series World Cup for the second year in a row, eliminating South Africa. Despite an initial loss to South Africa (1-5), the Moroccan team made a spectacular comeback (6-0) in the return match, which allowed them to qualify for the World Cup.
Before reaching the final, the Moroccan team had to overcome the Omani team in the semi-final in a penalty shootout. In addition, the Moroccan e-football team was also crowned MENA regional champion, after beating Qatar and South Africa.
The Moroccan delegation, which participated in this competition in Abu Dhabi, was composed of manager Saad Bassi and four players: Adam Haberraih, Youssef Charif, Marwan Chahhou and Aymane Mokallik. The delegation was led by Idriss Malki, technical manager of e-football at the Royal Moroccan Federation of Electronic Games (FRMJE), and Omar Zniber, the logistics manager.
